With the summer slowly coasting to an end, the whisking away of days and nights is a surreal occurrence — how spring feels like just yesterday and the fall that seemed unreachable is just around the corner. While it would be a great thing to remember all that happened throughout these days, unfortunately I cannot, but there are songs on this compilation that take me back to times I hope to never forget. I have the wonderful artists on this mix tape to thank for that, as well as thanking them for their immense kindness in participating in this project. Most of these artists offered brand new material without compensation or asking for anything in return, so it’s my hope that you will support them in whatever way you can if they’re making music that lets you remember where you’ve been, and helps you get to where you’re going. I’ve said goodbye to many things this summer, but no farewell resonates as strongly my departure from the Northeast coast, and with that I give you Au Revoir, La Côte.
